Amanda is an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio and Maine with experience providing therapeutic interventions primarily for adult populations. Amanda has a Master’s Degree in Social Work focusing on Mental Health and Substance Abuse from The Ohio State University. She has over 6 years of experience providing therapeutic interventions with adolescents and adults in community based and health care settings including crisis intervention. Amanda has a diverse background in Social Work and has a strong background to support clients addressing a variety of concerns including: depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, self-esteem, family and other relationships, career, and academic difficulties. 

Amanda’s approach to therapy consists of using evidence-based treatment modalities primarily focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but also utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness interventions. She is enthusiastic about supporting others through life’s crisis moments, finding out what makes life worth living, and identifying and working on goals to achieve what the client wants in their lives. As a clinician, her goal is to be a supportive person for others to identify and use their strengths to achieve their goals and make it through life’s ups and downs. 

Amanda enjoys hiking, reading, listening to music, and traveling.
