Maria is an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker in Aurora, Ohio with extensive experience working with every age group providing various forms of therapeutic intervention services. Maria has her Master's degree in Social work From The Ohio State University and is certified in Substance Abuse counseling. She comes with over 11 years of experience administering therapeutic interventions with children, adolescents, and adults in community-based settings and private practice settings.  Maria's specialties include trauma, working with children, addiction, family members affected by addiction, mood disorders (depression/anxiety), and para-suicidal and self-injurious behaviors. 

Maria’s approach to therapy generally focuses on using evidence-based treatment including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Maria believes that everyone has the ability to change and grow, each in their own way. Her purpose is to walk beside you on your path to peace and joy, through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and empathy. As a therapist, her goal has been to help people navigate change, promote growth, and restore hope.
