Melinda is an understanding and genuine person, who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado and Wisconsin. She has more than 25 years experience working with adults and children 13 and up in residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and virtual settings. She is also a certified Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Mental Health Professional who supports law enforcement, fire, first responders, EMS and other professionals who protect & serve. Most who are supported by Melinda struggle with life changes, low self esteem, peer conflict, work stress, parenting, divorce, anxiety and depression. She has expertise in helping when work or school overshadows life; as well as when life overshadows all.

Melinda approaches therapy as a real person who understands struggles and triumphs. She is dedicated to a genuine therapy relationship that helps each client individually. In therapy, Melinda utilizes life experiences, client perspective, as well as her expertise in Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma Informed Care. She is a member of the MI Network of Trainers (MINT) and has a certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies (Trauma Informed Care). These evidence based best practices are foundations in Melinda’s therapeutic approaches, as well as in the workshops she provides for other helping professionals around the nation. Melinda understands the chaos of life, the exhaustion of mental health issues, the difficulties of change, the struggles of parenting and divorce, and more. She is experienced in helping others harness the power of healing toward a better today and a brighter future.

Melinda enjoys walking her dog, doing yoga, outdoor activities in the warm sun, listening to music, watching movies, and laughing.
