Melinda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky with extensive experience working with every age group providing various forms of therapeutic intervention services. Melinda obtained her Masters Degree from the University of Kentucky.  She comes with close to 20 years of experience administering crisis therapeutic interventions with children, adolescents, and adults in community-based settings, in school settings, group homes, and hospital emergent crisis settings. Melinda is diverse in Social Work and has proven to provide a strong foundation to help clients address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, perinatal and postnatal issues, grief, low self-esteem, family conflicts, separations and divorces, academic difficulties, peer conflict, substance related issues, and work stress.

Melinda's approach to therapy generally focuses on using evidence-based treatment including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She is passionate about helping people in their everyday life manage crisis situations, find resources and support to restore balance during some of the most traumatic, chaotic, and stressful times in their lives. As a therapist, her goal has been to help empower people to make positive long lasting changes in their daily lives.

In Melinda's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family camping, hiking, kayaking and cooking.
