Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Monique is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and sociology from Southern Connecticut University. She is fully licensed to practice clinical social work in Virginia and has completed extensive training in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT), Motivational Interviewing and actively expanding her experience with Financial Therapy.

Monique has several years of experience providing therapy to diverse populations across various settings, including outpatient mental health, school-based services, intensive in-in-home and virtual therapy. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and relationship struggles. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity for growth and change.

In her spare time Durden enjoys reading, day trading, eating ice cream and delicious foods, spending time in nature, traveling and exploring new experiences with her family. She values alignment and brings this perspective into her work with clients, encouraging sustainable wellness both inside and outside of the therapy space.
