Tamara Banks

M.S., PPS, APCC

Tamara is a mental health service provider with an Associate Professional Clinical Counseling license. She is trained to work with individuals, families, and groups in treating mental, behavioral, and emotional obstacles. Tamara earned Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling and Guidance from California State University of San Bernardino. Tamara has spent a decade in education as a teacher and a Professional School Counselor.

Tamara’s goal is not only to help adolescents in school settings, but also to help adults and families. She is an advocate for social justice within multiple systems working to ensure that everyone can receive equitable experiences and opportunities. Tamara uses a Narrative therapy approach where the client’s story is utilized to establish background influences and construct meaning out of those experiences and perceptions. In conjunction with other appropriate approaches, Tamara works to help a client establish their life path and goals. She has experience with those who are processing death and grief, crisis and trauma, anxiety, goal setting, life transitions, and other conditions.

When Tamara is not working, she enjoys painting and creating, spending time with her family and friends, and taking in the latest Marvel movie or watching the previous releases
