Tasneem Khraisat, M.A., MCFT, AMFT, APCC
Tasneem Khraisat is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of La Verne and her Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy with a concentration in Professional Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School. Tasneem is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Marital and Family Therapy. She has received specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, Dual Diagnosis treatment, Safe Zone Training, and is currently completing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Tasneem has experience working in private practice, community mental health, residential treatment, and substance use treatment settings. She provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, maternal mental health concerns, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, infertility, pregnancy loss, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. As a Palestinian-American therapist who provides services in both English and Arabic, Tasneem is passionate about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors each client's unique identity, values, and lived experiences. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Informed Care, and culturally attuned practices. She also integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems approaches, and strengths-based interventions to help clients build resilience, deepen self-understanding, improve relationships, and create meaningful and lasting change.
In her spare time, Tasneem enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, traveling to Chicago to visit her mother and sisters, volunteering within her community, and advocating for mental health awareness and increased access to care for underserved populations.
