Tracey Cox, M.S.M.H.C.

Tracey is an experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New York & Maryland with extensive experience working with every age group and providing various therapeutic intervention services. Tracey has a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. She comes with over 8 years of experience administering therapeutic interventions with adolescents, and adults in the community- Substance abuse and in private practice settings. Tracey is a diverse Mental Health counselor and has proven to provide a strong foundation to help clients address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, difficulties managing anger, low self-esteem, family conflicts, academic problems, peer conflict, and work stress, substance use.

Tracey’s practice of psychotherapy integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and narrative-based approaches in the service of healing change. Tracey has helped many clients work through difficult life transitions, relationship conflicts, and grief caused by various losses. Tracey brings a deep life experience infused with compassion, acceptance, intelligence, and gentle humor.

The work Tracey does with my clients is sometimes difficult and painful, but time and again Tracey has seen how the benefits of the work outweigh the risks. Tracey is always ready to encourage and join my clients in making a leap of faith from sickness into health.
